Here you can see a bacterial biofilm in fluorescent light. Bacteria growing in a liquid medium and are colonizing the surface over the time. At some point a biofilm appears that is increasing in thickness. It’s a visualization of a simple lifecycle and complex evolution. A closer look with special light conditions reveals artificial structures and invisible elements for the human eye.
